If you live in the Queens/Long Island, New York area and your pet has an emergency or is not feeling well, please call us immediately to schedule an appointment.  If you live in other areas, please contact a veterinarian near you.

 Central Veterinary Associates is proud to offer 24/7 emergency service for our clients as well as any other pets in need.  Unfortunately, your pet's life does not follow the normal schedule that most veterinarians offer as your pet's health care provider, so we want to be there for you and your pet at all times.  Also, when your pet has the serious illness that requires extreme intervention and/or care we want to be the ones who alleviate your fears and help keep your pet feeling comfortable and on the road to recovery at all hours.  We keep the lights on at ALL TIMES and work ENDLESSLY to get your pet feeling better 24/7!  If your pet needs a change in medication, is not feeling comfortable, needs constant monitoring, needs emergency life saving procedures, or just wants a midnight hug or kiss, our staff is ready to help.

We are able to offer emergency surgery for the pets that require it as well as emergency medical care for all conditions including respiratory distress, congestive heart failure, gastric dilation volvulus (Bloat), Dystocia, Hit By Car (HBC), Ketoacidotic Diabetes, Traumatic injuries, Seizure control or any other various health issues.  Our expertise includes emergency medicine for Birds, Rabbits, Ferrets, Guinea Pigs, Hamsters, Gerbils, Rats, Chinchillas and all Reptiles and Snakes.
